Escultura (1) - Alabastro, Basalto - Ásia - século XV

Hand carved from basalt or granite (rock hard stone).
It is the goddess Parvati from Tamil Nadu, South India from the 13th/15th century, Chola period.
Comes from a legacy with English and French roots and has been in the family for approximately 50 years. Certainly no reproduction as the stone is far too hard for that. Bosom of the goddess is sweet due to the intens touching, beautiful decorative old figurine. Probably a temple ornament.
