2000 Chateau Mouton Rothschild - Pauillac 1er Grand Cru Classé - 1 Magnum (1,5 L)

97/100 points, Robert Parker. One MAGNUM of the 2000 Chateau Mouton Rothschild. A much celebrated vintage, both for it's quality and uniqueness of label/bottle design. Very sought after, specially in Asian markets this is definitely one to hold on to. Rare format that includes the original wooden case. Anticipated maturity 2015-2050. In an exceptional departure from the tradition, Baroness Philippine did not commission a painter for the design of the label. The bottle has since it's release become a collector’s item, its very glass adorned with a treasure from the Museum of Wine in Art at Mouton: the little golden “Augsburg Ram”, a chased silver-gilt drinking vessel created around 1590 by Jakob Schenauer, a German master goldsmith. Sought after and not so available in retail, this is a highly collectible bottle. Kept in temperature and humidity controlled cellar. Any import costs are entirely the buyer's responsibility. By bidding, the buyer understands that bottles can leak during transportation, and be affected by heat or other transport conditions. No returns accepted.
