Richard W. Rummel (1848-1924) is an American painter known for his views, from the sky, of American architecture, landscapes, and universities, before aerial views allowed it. He mentally transposed himself over the roofs to create his works as seen by a bird, they were reproduced in very large lithographic posters, many of which are monuments of historical heritage in the United States and Canada. One of his most famous views is that of 'The Grand Trunk Railway - Chateau Laurier' in Ottawa, Canada.
The penultimate photo is a large poster of the same liner he had made for the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique - French Line in 1912. The last is an aerial view of "Lower Manhattan"
