Kurt Donald Cobain (Aberdeen, February 20, 1967 - Seattle, April 5, 1994) was an American singer-songwriter and musician. As the lead singer and guitarist of the Nirvana grunge band, Cobain was seen as "the voice of Generation X" in the early 1990s.
In 1994 he ended his life at the age of 27.
