This is the last 'Gixxer' in the American version oil-cooled series. The highest weight, but also the best handling characteristics and the most power of the 'oil cooling series’. It’s obvious it can manage fine at the Spa-Francorchamps SBK demo races, it’s the youngest allowed to participate. Suzuki was dominant with the model series in the SBK since 1985. Virtually all GSX Rs have been converted to Streetfighters, original ones with first paint are now rare. Maintenance has been consistent with use, it does have signs of wear consistent with a 28-year-old bike. Just not the mileage, the number of kilometres on the counter pictured is correct. It’s a very nice and neat motorcycle. It’s certainly one of the better ones in the series, everything after this ‘oil-cooler’ is much cheaper. Although this later one is faster than an 85, it doesn’t offer as much as an old-fashioned Gixxer, but their value has been going up rapidly lately. Certainly for one like this, which doesn’t need to be 'done'.
