Pierre Giraudon (1923-2012) - Escultura, Cubo na inclusão de relógios - Resina / Poliéster

Pierre Giraudon (1923-2012). Beautiful cube sculpture of resin. Inclusion of clock movement, clock parts. Dimensions: 10 x 10 cm - Depth: 8.5 cm - Ideal as a paperweight or just for decoration. A shard in a corner (see photo 6), slight scratches. *Pierre Giraudon was born in 1923. In the 1940s, working as a biologist in Canada, he was the first to carry out the inclusion of plants, animals or other under resin for university purposes. He returned to France in 1949, began to work on this material for pleasure and brought personal artistic touches to it. Mastering this material better and better, he gradually diverted it to make works of art. In the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, he made sculptures, lamp bases and coloured resin objects with or without inclusions; alongside his personal creations, he worked for César. Nevertheless, Giraudon still refused to be called an artist because he considered himself a biologist above all.
