The history of Bernardaud factory is deeply linked to porcelain production in the Limoges District.
Leonard Bernardaud started working as a young apprentice at one of the first companies exploiting kaolin, a precious mineral which made the Limoges factories famous.
In 1900, Léonard Bernardaud bought out the company he worked at and named it after himself. With the help of his 2 sons, he created a company still considered today among the most exclusive porcelain factories in the world.
The bowl from the ‘Strasbourg’ series, is an example of the high quality and sophisticated refinement of their products.
