This 401 is an icon from the British HiFi world. It has an SME 3009 series II tonearm equipped with a Pickering coil and needle (EP-DJ). The plinth itself is also SME made and in very good condition. The original plexi is also in very good condition. All parts are ultrasound cleaned. Idler wheel in very good condition. new idler bearing kit and isolation grommets. all parts lubricated with mobil 123 oil or Lithium grease. Unit completely adjusted to fabric specifications. This Garrard comes with copies of the manual for the 401 and the SME 3009. The 401 can play again for several years. Collection is preffered, but it can be shipped in 2 boxes, which means the 401 and the platter will be separated and packed in one box. The second box will contain the plinth with separated plexi and the tonearm packed also separatly. The shipping cost will be more expensive, but this is the only way to ship this without damage.
