Wat Rong Khun - White Temple

This photo shows the hands sticking out of the ground in the pond in front of the Buddhist temple "Wat Rong Khun" designed by Chalermchai Kositpipat.

To get to the temple you walk over the bridge "the cycle of rebirth", this goes over a small pond with hundreds of hands sticking out. These reaching hands symbolize an unlimited desire. The bridge proclaims that in order to find happiness, you need to ignore temptation, greed and desire.

The image measures 30 x 45 cm.

Every year, Inge van Veen (1985) leaves for a few months to special places on the earth to take pictures. Because of her background in fashion photography, she has a unique view of daily beauties. During her travels, she looks for special compositions created by man and nature. She prefers to leave every morning with her camera to get lost and come back with inspiring images and a fantastic experience.

This passion arose when she was sent out by Interrail in 2009 to record her train journey to Romania. The counter of visited countries stands at 24, but she is far from finished.
