The Poro society is the basis of the cohesion of the tribe. The initiation and education of the Senufo begin at the age of 7. The Senufo use different types of masks, depending on the occasions. The Kpéliyée mask, used by the members of the Poro society presents a heart-shaped face, surrounded by little wings.
