14 K Ouro, Prata - cerca de 1880-1900 brincos antigos - 1.46 ct Diamantes de lapidação rosa - Holanda artesanal

An unusual pair of rose diamond earrings, made circa 1880-1900 possibly in Holland. They are each set with a central large rose diamond with bands of rose diamonds around it. They have secure hinge back fittings. Rose diamonds have a special look as they are cut to a point in the centre with facets that reflect the light in a completely different way to conventionally cut diamonds. The result is a hard greyish glint that looks fantastic, especially when worn in a candle lit setting, which is what was originally intended. They are mainly silver with a gold wash on the back which was standard practice circa 1880. Gold 14 kt and 800/1000. 20 Roos cut diamonds (2x diameter about 4 mm ca. 0.23Ct approx. 0.92Ct and about 2 mm 18x 0.03Ct approx. 0.54Ct) in a silver setting. Clarity: SI, color HJ. Total ca. 1.46Ct Old Roos cut diamonds. Wonderful handwork. LxW: 1.9 x 0.9 cm. Weight: 4.42 grams. Condition: wonderful for age Sent in new jewels box, on the photos is a presentation box.
