The systems available are either much too flimsy, or too conspicuous. I have thousands of CDs all over my home, which I arrange by type, not by alphabetical order. So it's essential that I can organise the categories as I want. I wanted something modern and discreet, and I loved the idea of a adjustable system which can grow with my CD collection. We chose a polished aluminium and, to separate the sections, thick blocks of black laminate on which you can write with a white pencil. I was inspired by mixers in recording studios."
