Pair of silver candlesticks, made in 1856 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The candlesticks are richly decorated and are engraved with the monogram 'MdeC'.
The candlesticks are filled with plaster to weigh them down The hallmarks are clear legible: a Minerva-head with the letter A for Amsterdam. A walking lion for Dutch hallmark, 2nd grade content silver 835 and a year letter W, for 1856. The candlesticks are in very good condition.
Dimensions: H 24 cm x W 10 cm x D 10 cm.
Weight: 993 grams. (please note, this is not the silver weight, because the candlesticks are filled).
The lot will be packaged with care and shipped registered. Collecting in Casteren (NL) also possible.
