A very characteristic 1960s vase, handmade. From Deruta, Italy.
Deruta is a hill town and municipality in the province of Perugia in the Umbria region in central Italy. It is renowned for its ceramics which is exported worldwide.
The nice thing about this vase is that it has typical decorations from the period, such as cell division, atoms etc. The interior is celadon-green enamel, the exterior leaves an impression of cork with black lines and cell divisions in yellow, red and blue.
In outstanding condition.
Marked: ‘Ars Artigiana Deruta Italy 4501 / 25’.
