Marius Alexander Jacques Bauer (The Hague, 25 January 1867 - Amsterdam, 18 July 1932) was a Dutch painter. The most fame was acquired with doing etchings and lithographs with Oriental scenes and he is also called the most famous Dutch orientalist.

Jacobus Hendricus (Jacob) Maris (The Hague, 25th of August 1837  – Karlsbad, 7th of August 1899) was a Dutch painter of the Hague School. Apart from being a painter, Jacob was also an etcher and lithographer.
Jacob Maris is one of the most important masters of the Hague School. He painted mostly landscapes, cityscapes and beach scenes. Under the influence of the Barbizon School, he worked directly in nature. Internationally, he had great success.
