Our mask was carved from a hard wood type, this in contrast to the "classic" Boa mask with the removable ears.
The attachment holes are located only at the top of the rim which suggests that it had a headdress coiffure which, while dancing, did not get in contact with the face.
Ex. Private collection. J. P. Fillieux, Brussels (1930-2017)
Hard wood sort.
Oil patina and white painted portions.
Various hairline cracks due to its age.
11 attachment holes upper half edge (2 holes are torn).
Oiled inside without contact traces.
Light traces of wear and tear to the whole.
Very aesthetic mask!
