Michel Dubois was born in 1953.
Frame: With nail cover.
His passion for drawing inspired him to take evening classes at the fine arts school in Valence in the 70s. Back home in Normandy after completing his scientific studies, he began painting with the Norman painter, Pierre Lambert and quickly became a “pillar” of the artistic association in his town of Montivilliers, of which he is today president.
When he opens his easel outside, he expresses himself in watercolour and gouache with a spontaneous stroke supported by a very precise drawing.
His studio work allows him to express himself in oil with luminous creations that reach the precision of hyperrealism.
He invites his viewers into an often nostalgic world that will have you loving the wear caused by time’s passage on the familiar world that surrounds us.
